When the debate gets hot, Evangelist Sam Marufu is the steady hand.
Evangelist Sam Marufu — also reported as Simbarashe Marufu — is a Seventh-day Adventist evangelist
and a familiar figure in Zimbabwe's men's ministry. Associated with the Bluffhill Seventh-day
Adventist Church in Harare, he is a sought-after speaker at men's gatherings and retreats, where his
messages are practical, scriptural and squarely aimed at the everyday responsibilities of husbands
and fathers.
His best-known teaching, delivered at a men's conference themed *"Creating a man for Jesus in the
last days", was titled "Chengeta Mhuri Yako" — Look after your family* — and called on men to
take up the work of providing for and protecting those God has placed in their care, rather than
drifting into crime or neglect when times are hard. He speaks as readily to young boys on the edge of
manhood as he does to older men, urging them to prepare for the families they hope to build.
On Dare Remachinda he is the resident voice of balance — a panellist with a calm, biblical
approach to marriage and family life who is often the one to bring a heated conversation back to
first principles. At the Rainbow Towers Father's Day luncheon in June 2026 he was one of the speakers
who engaged more than two hundred men on responsible fatherhood.
